i guess this is the idea with flutter but flutter just leaves accessibilty in the dust (and therefore no possibilities for a low-res text only version of a site)

maybe the web future is in solving the accessibility issue with canvas rendering and leaning much heavier on websssembly. efficient code in the browser but still semantically tagged data behind it. anyone know any good tooling for approaches to this so far?

an important report has just been published by my friend emmi: The Decentralized Web of Hate

"Fascists (and other bad actors) are [...] hosting manifestos resiliently, raising money anonymously, communicating securely to organize attacks, sharing weapons plans, and networking to build out their numbers."

Is any one on here a university first year or college freshman? Have you been able to make friends with people in your online classes? What's worked to build friendships for people you're not seeing face to face? What could your teachers or university be doing to make that easier?

@ubuntustudio Having fun with Ubuntu Studio Groovy Gorilla. This amazing release is shaping up really well. Plasma desktop looks good and is screaming fast. Jack, Carla, LSP plugins all works amazingly well!

Thanks for the great work!

should we ever really use variables like "b = 3" or "xoff = 52" which are single letter variables and unnecessary abbreviations that make it impossible to understand right away in a compiled or minified language? give me 50 character long variable names over that anyday. so much mental energy expended because of that practice.

I think I'll never stop loving Messiaen's "Theme and Variations" for piano and violin. I just love the plodding piano and syrupy violin lines.

Single most frustrating thing of any code editor:

When you type an “ and it puts a closing one in that you don’t want. You then delete the one you put in to keep the extra and both vanish.

weird thing about the pandemic stay at home situation for me, is that it has generated way more intense work than free time. really behind on emails at the moment.
